Kenosha Urology Clinic specializes in the state-of-the art screening, diagnosis, and treatment of urological conditions such as enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, incontinence, and kidney stones. We utilize the latest techniques and treatments to provide complete, experienced, and compassionate care during all stages of life, including pediatric conditions.
More than half of men over the age of 60 and nearly 80% of men over the age of 80 develop an enlarged prostate gland. This condition results in difficulty urinating, reduced urine flow, frequent urination (especially at night), incomplete urination, burning, and leaking. Dr. Novsam was the first urologist in Wisconsin to pioneer the use of laser vaporization to treat men with enlarged prostates. In addition, he and Dr. Clubb are the first physicians in the state to offer FDA-approved KTP laser treatment, which provides unmatched results in safety and patient satisfaction for enlarged prostate treatment.
Laser vaporization, which usually takes about 30 minutes to perform, offers immediate relief of symptoms, allows for a better quality of life within 1 to 2 weeks, and does not require a lengthy hospital stay.
Prostate cancer is the number-one cancer in men in the United States. Kenosha Urology Clinic recommends annual prostate cancer screenings beginning at age 50, and earlier for African American men and those with close relatives who have been diagnosed with the disease. Screening includes the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test and digital examination of the prostate. Dr. Clubb and Dr. Novsam were the first urologists in Kenosha to introduce brachytherapy seed implants for prostate cancer treatment.
More than 13 million Americans experience incontinence and according to the federal Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, some people suffer for more than 10 years before seeking treatment. Fortunately, incontinence is a treatable and often curable condition. Frequent nighttime urination and urine loss due to laughing or coughing can be treated using medication or daily exercise in many cases.
Kenosha Urology Clinic offers nonsurgical incontinence treatments such as medication, pelvic-floor exercises, bladder training, and collagen bulking, as well as surgical treatments such as outpatient sling suspension for women and urethral sphincter surgery for men. Dr. Clubb and Dr. Novsam have over 40 years of combined experience providing minimally invasive incontinence treatment to get you back to your life faster and with less discomfort.
Kidney stones are one of the most common disorders of the urinary tract, causing severe pain, infection, and blood in the urine. When discovered early, this condition usually can be treated without major surgery. Kenosha Urology Clinic provides the latest noninvasive kidney stone treatments, including extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), which uses acoustic shock waves to safely pulverize kidney stones into sand-size particles that are easily passed from the body.
Kenosha Urology Clinic is known for bringing the latest techniques and treatments to Kenosha first, and for providing complete, compassionate care. Vasectomies take only about 30 minutes to perform in the skilled hands of Dr. Ned Novsam and he has performed over 1000 of these procedures. We also provide care for pediatric urological disorders such as bed-wetting and resolving this condition before the age of 5 is our goal.
